There are many changes happening in in the NHS and we have set up the website with the aim of informing our patients of these and obtaining their feedback on our own policies as we adapt and develop our services. Your feedback could be very useful to us. For example-in connection with our buildings, if we choose to keep providing services more locally and keep our staff, we are going against the local policy and have to expect difficulties with the PCT. We have discussed the way we would like to run the practice with our patient group but we would like to find a way of communicating with a large number of patients to check we are correct in our opinions on what patients want. Our patient group would also like support from a wider group of patients. We will find this difficult to do and there are bound to be problems but we are making a start by publishing more detail about the priorities for the practice on the web. Our thought is that most patients can access the web personally or with help but we will make all the information available at the practice as well.
