Our Team
We value our staff, who provide an efficient service and aim to allow all

About GP Registrars and Medical Students
In addition to our services for the community, we are also a training practice.
This means that we have a GP Registrar and, at times, medical students working
alongside the doctors. A GP Registrar is a fully qualified and experienced
doctor at the start of their career in general practice. They are invited to
join the practice for a period of time in order to gain further experience
in the field. Medical Students are instructed at our Practice from time to
time. You may be asked if you mind a student sitting in on your consultation
or spending some time with you to discuss your health.
Our Reception Team
Our team of receptionists is here to help you when telephoning or attending
the centre. The receptionists may ask a few details. Please be patient as these
enquiries will enable them to help you in the most appropriate way.
Our Practice Manager
The Practice Manger,
Lesley Meade, has the task of coordinating the administrative nd financial
side of the practice. If there are ny comments on the administrative side
of the practice, good or bad, please pass them on in person or by letter. The
practice is open to new ideas and would like to encourage patients to bring
them forward. The Practice has an in-house complaints procedure. Please contact
the Practice Manager if you have any complaints.
Practice Nurses
Practice nurses are employed by the doctors to assist them. Nursing staff
are available for dressings and routine nursing duties at the surgery. They
also run specialised Clinics and give vaccinations. They would be happy to
discuss travel vaccinations.
District Nurses
The District Nursing Team is based at the Practice and can offer a wealth
of experience and expertise in Home Nursing. They accept referrals from professionals
and members of the public.
District Nurses can be contacted for advice at 012706 250 820 between 9.00
am and 4.00om and have an answering machine.
Our Midwives
Midwives provide care and advice during pregnancy and after childbirth and
will see patients at the clinic by arrangement. Clinics are held on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons at Grosvenor Medical Centre and on Wednesday
morning at Gresty Brook. You should see your doctor to confirm pregnancy, who
will then organise your antenatal care between the GP, midwife and hospital.
Health Visitors
A team of Health Visitors is based in the Practice. Their aims are to promote
health and prevent ill health.
They monitor the health and development of children, their families, and the
elderly. They can be contacted at the surgery and are usually available between
9.00am and 10.00 am.
Dietician
Dieticians provide expert advice about weight reduction and special diets.
A dietician attends Grosvenor all day on Tuesdays. The Doctor or nurse will
arrange an appointment, if appropriate. The Dietician provides individual counseling
for many conditions and, if requested, we are willing to arrange group sessions
for weight reduction.
Physiotherapy
The Practice has access to full time physiotherapists who are based at the
new Eagle Bridge health centre .The doctor will be able to refer you to the
Physiotherapist when appropriate.
